Caldwells Windows Ltd guarantees that the products you have purchased from us are free from defects in materials or workmanship, under normal use, for a 12-month warranty period. The period starts on the date of purchase. Your dated sales or delivery receipt, showing the date of purchase is your proof of the purchase date. You may be required to provide proof of purchase, as a condition of receiving warranty service. You are entitled to warranty service according to the terms and conditions of this document if a repair to your product is required within the warranty period.
During the warranty period, Caldwells Windows Ltd will, at its discretion, repair or replace any defective component. All component parts or hardware products removed under this warranty become the property of Caldwells Windows Ltd. In the unlikely event that your product has recurring failures, Caldwells Windows Ltd, at its sole discretion, may elect to provide you with (a) a replacement unit of our choosing that is the same or equivalent to your original product in performance or (b) to give you a refund of your purchase price or payments instead of a replacement. This is your exclusive remedy for defective products.
It is mandatory that the product is made available for inspection when requesting a warranty service event. Failure to do so may result in the event being deemed out of warranty by Caldwells Windows Ltd, and therefore chargeable to the requester.
Unless otherwise stated, and to the extent permitted by local law, new Caldwells Windows Ltd products may be manufactured using new materials or new and used materials equivalent to new in performance and reliability. Caldwells Windows Ltd may repair or replace any of their products (a) with new or previously used products or parts equivalent to new in performance and reliability, or (b) with equivalent products to an original product that has been discontinued. Replacement parts are warranted to be free from defects in material or workmanship for 12 months or, for the remainder of the warranty period of the product they are replacing, whichever is shorter. Caldwells Windows Ltd cannot guarantee an exact match to the coating colour of your product, due to changes beyond their control and weathering of your existing products.
Damage, caused by the customer or denigration of the surface of the product, caused by using the wrong cleaning materials e.g. caustic cleaners, solvent cleaners, abrasive cleaners or cleaners containing acetic acid are not covered by the terms of the warranty. General wear and tear of the product is not covered by the terms of the warranty, outside of the 12-month warranty period.
Caldwells Windows Ltd recommends cleaning with warm soapy water and drying with a clean dry cloth. We also recommend a quarterly application of MAAS polish to maintain the condition of the product.
Incorrect installation of any sort, causing damage to the product, ingress of water or damage to the interior fabric of the item to which the product is installed, is not covered by the terms of this warranty.
